Little Beauty

It's been a busy week, and as a result, a big bundle of Chinese broccoli (or kai-lan) was left to languish in my vegetable crisper. When I finally got around to cooking them, I discovered that one of the florets had actually blossomed into lovely little flowers. So tiny and fragile, they were begging to be saved. So I separated the flower head from the stem and set it in a shallow pool of water. After a day, the other buds started to bloom as well. Even my cats took a liking to it.
